Fenugreek – The Testosterone Booster and Sexual Performance Enhancer

Fenugreek is a herb from India, Pakistan and other parts of Asia. It is widely used in many testosterone boosting supplements because of its enhancement in the bedroom. Common Uses of Fenugreek

Fenugreek is a Strong Antioxidant

Fenugreek is also a compound that have been used over the years by most athletes and body builders to improve their performance in the field and endurance in the gym. It causes a positive impact on body composition and muscle strength which significantly improves the recovery period.

In a recent study, 30 trained athletes were subjected to 500mg of Fenugreek extract daily for eight weeks. The athletes were programmed to take muscle exercise every four days in between the week. Their body composition was measured by hydrodensitometry and muscle strength was measured by isotonic bench and leg press.

At the end of the study, the subjects recorded increase in lean muscle mass and muscle strength. Fat composition in the body also reduced significantly. This makes Fenugreek a great compound that should be utilised by athletes and body builders who are looking forward to maximise their results.

Fenugreek and Enhanced Sexual Performance.

Conclusions

Fenugreek causes numerous physiological effects related to the reproductive system including increasing testosterone levels, altering body composition by increasing lean muscles while reducing fat composition. It was also found to increase testicular size and weight in rats. More importantly, it inhibits the aromatase and reductase enzymes from breaking down testosterone which would rather increase the level of bound testosterone by converting testosterone to dihydrotestosterone.
